The hospitality industry is constantly in need of loyal, committed and engaged individuals to fill various positions. Hospitality includes restaurants, hotels, casinos, amusement parks, events, cruises, entertainment, and other tourism-related services. As such, this industry isn’t just important to businesses but also to customers, employees and economies.

Whether you are interested in back-of-the-house operations or being the face that greets customers, this program will provide you with the essential skills and certifications to grow your career right from the start.

PROGRAM SNAPSHOT

The classroom portion of the program will provide hospitality-specific education through American Hotel Lodging & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) certifications, employment readiness certifications and employment preparation skills. All are equally important is preparing you for a career in hospitality.

  • The program will be delivered over 8 weeks full-time online study. Students will be expected to be in class 6 hours a day.
  • This is not a self-study program. All courses are instructor led for continued support.
  • All courses must be successfully completed, including exams passed, to receive the AHLEI certifications.

PROGRAM CERTIFICATION
When students have successfully completed the course work, they will receive a Ballad Certified Hospitality Professional Certificate of Completion.
 
PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The program is made up of courses that fall under three distinct areas:

  1. Certified Hospitality Professional Courses (8 total)
  2. Employment Readiness Courses
  3. Employment Preparation Skills (specialized certifications)

 

This program is 8 weeks long and costs $7500/participant

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT FUNDAMENTALS
The Process Improvement Fundamentals program focuses on the key concepts of planning and executing projects. As a participant, you will identify factors that lead to project success, and learn how to plan, analyze and manage projects.
 
This program is customizable and can be delivered onsite across Alberta. Contact us for our next delivery and how we can customize the training specifically for your organization.
 
PROGRAM CERTIFICATION
When students have successfully completed the course work, their project and exam, they will receive a Ballad Certified Process Improvement Fundamentals Certificate of Completion.
 
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The program is delivered once a week for 16 weeks and will cover 10 unique modules. There is virtual instructor-led learning combined with 9 hours of independent study.

The program will begin on March 1st and end on July 5th. All classroom time is scheduled every Monday from 8:30am to 11:30am.
