This program is for anyone in the High Level region facing employment barriers.

  • Currently unemployed or underemployed

Ballad’s training facility offers a range of job preparation workshops, as well as hands-on experience in hospitality and construction, pipeline & reclamation.

Our facility includes a large shop space, as well as dedicated hotel areas such as a reception, café-style service area, and bedrooms, so that participants can perfect their skills.

Construction, Pipeline & Reclamation Program with training in:

  • Pipeline Assembly and Maintenance
  • Winter Road Construction & Operations
  • Well and Site Reclamation
  • Fleet Maintenance 


Hospitality & Customer Service Program with training in:

  • Front of House
  • Kitchen/Back of House 
  • Guest Services
  • Housekeeping
  • Service Station Associate


Participants of the program will have access to support including:

  • Monthly living expenses
  • Exposure courses & safety tickets
  • Professional services (Psychologist) 
  • Cultural and wellness supports
  • Support with transportation
  • Supplied work wear and safety gear
  • Life & employment workshops, including: 
    • purpose and meaning
    • personal development
